General Donations – Alta Vista Botanic Gardens is a gift supported nonprofit organization. From the start, individuals have contributed to the success of The Garden and always will.

There are many ways of giving to the Garden.

· Consider being a member, which will keep you informed of all Garden activities, and provide you with special member discounts.

· Unrestricted gifts to the Garden of any size are always appreciated, and help us with day-to-day maintenance of gardens, facilities, and programs.

· You can honor family and friends with one (or more) inscribed leaves, and/or a foundation boulder on our ‘Founder’s Circle Tree’ (see below).

· You can give a designated gift to one of our special projects, such as new patio gardens, our new Ceremonial Garden or the different aspects of our Children’s Garden.

The Alta Vista Gardens ‘Founder’s Circle Tree’

We are beginning our fundraising through the Founder’s Circle and ask that you consider participating.

We wish to purchase a ‘Founder’s Circle Tree of Life’ to effect this undertaking.  We would like to offer you the opportunity to consider making this purchase donation.  The purchase price for the Tree would range from $2000.00 to $4000.00 and will be created locally by a North County Artist. A plaque will be attached to honor the donors.

 Additionally, we are accepting donations for leaves to be placed on the tree.  Donation participation is at several levels as follows:

• For a $250.00 donation we will install a ‘Silver Leaf’ with your chosen name engraved on it.

• For a $500.00 donation we will install a ‘Gold Leaf’ with your chosen name engraved on it.

• For a $1000.00 donation we will install an engraved name plaque shaped like a ‘Foundation Stone’ around the base of the tree.

• No sentiments expressed.

• The leaves would be temporarily attached to our ‘demonstration tree’ and later permanently installed on the ‘Founders Circle Tree of Life’.

• We will also accept any other  monetary donations to our general fund.
